Am very sad to see that vision direct, with a really difficult to navigate, pricey and uninviting website have taken over a company I was loyal to for years. What a shame.

Real shame I've had about 5 pairs of glasses from Lensway fantastic prices and quality and super fast delivery from Canada.

Haven't tried visiondirect yet website slow and prices are massively increased so I guess thats that.

And everything about the website, the prices, the range has gotten much worse. Just when I was about to order some glasses as well (these have now disappeared off the website). Anyone have any clue what happened?

Fabulous service. My glasses came within a week, from entering my prescription online to arrival was totally fuss free. I was emailed every stage of the process to let me know progress of delivery, the price for Calvin Klein glasses was incredible, also got 30% off, including delivery. Have bought from Lensway before and will continue to do so. Terrific. Thank you again.

I have purchased many pairs of glasses from Lensway over the past few years and have never had a bad experience. There is always such a vast choice of frames to suit everyone's budget.
I ordered 2 pairs of glasses last Friday and they arrived today, Wednesday.
Excellent service all round.

I received my glasses slightly bent at the nose bit. Then the screw near it came off after a few days. Now I've had an old pair of glasses for 10 years, and I've had a pair of Poundland glasses for a year now as well, none of them broke. I suspect these did perhaps as they were shipped from Canada to the UK in a glasses case (which was in a box) and the glasses moved inside the glasses case.

I emailed Lensway, 2 different email addresses (one of which I've received an answer from when emailing them previously), and no response for 12 days now. I've emailed them 3 times!

Very sorry I didn't check how many 1 star reviews there are on here before purchasing.

I've used other online resources for glasses, high street chains and my local family optician. What initially appears like great value can sometimes be diluted when shipping, lens packages/coatings etc are added.
I've just used lensway as a bit of an experiment. I've just chosen a £9 pair and I haven't added any coatings. Well, from Canada to my door in two days. Glasses frames that are far better than the price would suggest and lenses that are comfortable and effective. I'm astounded by the value and speed. Really shocked actually.
Next time I will add the £19 lens package - which for UV filter, hard coat and anti-reflection - is stupendous value when compared to the competitors.
Whilst the choice at £9 is of course limited when you open it up to £29 and onwards to £59 the choice is outstanding.
I would (and will) strongly recommend lensway. I'm a very satisfied customer!

I have ordered glasses from a different online company several times, as I like to have several pairs in order to change my look. They were great, but did not have the style of glasses I really wanted, which were 50s style cat eye frames. I found some of these for an extremely good price at Lensway, with no unexpected extras to pay, and free delivery. They arrived exactly one week from when my order was placed, and only took 2 days from being dispatched from Vancouver to arrival in North West England. The glasses are great, with nice case and tiny screwdriver. I will definitely use them again.

I've used a number of different online prescription glasses companies in the past (I lose them regularly) and they have been by far the best. The fit is super, I have a small head and often glasses, even when I've looked and measured and given measurements, they fall off. I bought a pair of the lower priced glasses and you can't tell, excellent quality. It took a week to arrive (including the weekend), which is standard. I also loved the free key ring glasses screwdriver it came with, you unscrew either side and one side reveals a small flat head and the other Phillips head for glasses adjustment if need be. The glasses case is sturdy and comes with a cleaning cloth.
I shall definitely be using them again.

Really cannot fault the service from /lensway.co.uk/ . Like others I didn't realise I was ordering from the USA and was initially concerned when I read some of the reviews. My prescription was pretty straightforward and my order was processed very quickly, it might have been quicker had it not been over a weekend. The forecast delivery was some 2 weeks but I was pleased to see FEDEX pick them up in the USA and they were on my doorstep the next lunchtime, 6 days after ordering! Not sure a UK company would have been any quicker. The glasses are excellent quality and great value for money.

The first pair I ordered broke down within 48 hours, so I returned them immediately, to be told me they would not refund until they got them back, which took a while. Meanwhile I did not have any reading glasses so I ordered a second pair, which got stuck at their dispatchers (fedex) for two weeks. Neither Lenseway or Fedex know to this day why they got stuck (they first claimed an 'incorrect address' which isn't the case as they had delivered to that very same address a month prior) so I've requested another refund. Customer service very kind but have no authority to make things happen. They just say: let us know if we can help further, when they have not been able to help at all!

Being idle, I don't normally bother leaving positive reviews - which I suspect is the case for many folk. I'm making an exception in this case - I ordered a pair of glasses on the 9th of June and was told they'd be with me around the 23rd; fair enough. Actually, they were in my hand four working days later. They seem to be spot on - thin, coated lenses, a really nice frame and a ridiculously low price.

On the basis of my experience, I would recommend wholeheartedly and will certainly use them again.

Prescription glasses arrived today...quicker than expected (in uk). Contacted customer services as I'd picked the wrong pair at the checkout, who were more than happy to help and resolved my issue promptly with professionalism and politeness.
I was able to track the delivery process easily and was pleasantly surprised at how well packaged and well presented my glasses were when they arrived.
Perfect to have a spare pair especially with toddlers around and at £9 you can't go wrong. Already ordered my second pair!
Overall I'm I over the moon with lensways products and services and would highly recommend.

I ordered glasses over a month ago, still waiting for them to be constructed and delivered. I didn't know that the company was based in the USA (it has a .co.uk address), so even when shipped it will take weeks to be delivered. This is a total waste of time and money - I have sight problems, I need my glasses quickly. Avoid this mickey mouse outfit.

I came across this review site after I'd ordered from Lensway and I have to say I was a little concerned with the large number of negative reviews. But my experience with them has been totally positive. Ordered spectacles on Wednesday. The website kept me up to date with the manufacturing processes, so I knew where things were up to every time I wanted to check. The were finished in two days and dispatched on the Friday from British Columbia, Canada. Delivered to me here in the UK on Monday morning. The spectacles were fine. I'm very pleased with them. The cleaning cloth came in a colour that matched the case and they even included a little key ring screwdriver for those times when the screws work loose (which they have eventually done on every pair of metal spectacles I've ever owned). I'm very pleased and wish I'd ordered my second pair at the same time instead of from another on-line company who seem much less clued up on customer service - though they are a little cheaper. During the process I've also received a few emails from Lensway and I feel like a valued customer.
